A Day On My Own.
Is that selfish or nice? It may be both. Today Jared, three children and my in-laws went to Puffin Billy, I asked if I could stay home. Jared said that I could. I went to do some food shopping, I put down the Christmas decorations, prepared some tea, and not much else. Sweet. Everyone had a nice day, and I feel more peaceful. Do you ever feel that you need some time to just sit? I don’t even like tea or coffee, but I like the picture.
Speaking of which. I must be related to Robin Hood right? Here is a great Picture of Steph doing the whole archery thing.Well, she looks like she knows what she is doing.

Change of Plans
My in-laws weren’t coming down for Christmas this year, but they had a dear friend die, so they came down the day before. Man, am I glad I cooked like a wild ninja the day before. I have so much cooked Turkey, Beef, Chicken and pork in the fridge, that I am actually getting sick of it myself.
Monday we dropped Steph and Lachlan off to camp, it will be nice to have just the younger ones for a while (and did I say the in-laws too?). After dropping the kiddies off, we went and visited Jared’s Grandparents, and had tea with them. Today we went to the Aquarium, which Camden and I love. We actually became members again, because I can get my money’s worth if I go twice more times in the year (easy).
I bought this DVD today, it was great. I also got it for 20% off.
Lachlan turned 14 on Monday. This photo cracks me up, the things I get the children to do. Christmas night I told them to wrap a tea towel over their head and to play tactile dominoes. So It wasn’t that fun, and it was hard to breathe under that thing!!

Christmas Doings.
The morning began with present opening around 6am. The tradition in our family is that I fill up a sack for each child, leave it on their bed before midnight, and then they bring it up to our bedroom in the morning. There is always much excitement. Personally I think that the present giving was tame this year, I tried not to overdo it, and the children were the better for it.
We headed off to Church in the morning (as this is what Christmas is really all about isn’t it, Christ?) Jared preached a great mini sermon. I feel so encouraged when he preaches, I actually want to cry. He spoke of Jesus’s name, meaning “God saves”. God became man, so that he could die for sinners (that’s me, and you folks).
We then went for lunch to my Sister and brother in-laws. It was a very peaceful Christmas. It was lovely to re-connect with the children. They all get along really well.It was lovely just to see them all together.
Jared gave me 1 TB of external hard drive, cool as! Now I can take photos like a crazy woman. Hee hee. Look what Steph crocheted me.They are peas in a pod 😀
We drove home at 4pm, so we missed the major traffic home. .we have eaten another, yummy roast. We are watching Get Smart now, but it’s when they are older (don’t bother buying it, it’s stupid).

A Great Idea.
Ok, so my daughter reminded me that I should be cooking for the neighbours, how did that slip my mind? So, at 10 pm, I decided to cook. The fudge failed, but the toffee, the gingerbread, the rocky road, and the two different muffins worked. We didn’t give a basket to everyone in the street this year, only to seven.simple designs ( I could claim that the children did it, but they didn’t)
The firemen came tonight, to give all the children some lollies. How cool is that? I must say that the firemen didn’t really seem that jolly this year.
Jared’s parents have arrived for Christmas, so I will get off the computer now, and speak to them. Have a nice Christmas everyone, Godbless.

Wednesday.
I have been waking up this week, wondering, what day is it? Well, it’s Wednesday. Washing, cleaning, and sorting. The children came back from the sleepover, very happy. I took the kiddies to a party, and of course, picked them up again. We then went to a park, and had fish n chips for tea.I have three engagement presents to buy. So nice to see young ones get married. I had someone say to me not long ago, that it is silly to marry so young, why? Anyway, here is one present ready to be wrapped
I have a heap of items ready to divide between three missionary families.
Alycia brought home some Das from mum’s house, so she got to work. Look what she made, how cute is this. A lovely little vase.
She also made a horse.
Stephanie has been busy making Camden a Christmas present.
A Crocheted Tiger!
I bought this cute set yesterday for $10. It’s a Roman set, perfect for those Latin lessons. Here is Caecilius and Metella ;D

The Week Before Christmas.
So, the Christmas presents are wrapped, and under our fake tree. One Birthday (Cassandra’s has passed), and we have two more birthdays in our little family, Lachlan next (on the 27th), and then Camden (3rd Jan), as you can see, i’t is a very expensive time for us. The best gift that Cassandra recieved was from Steph. She crocheted a ninja, and wrote a story to go with it, it’s a classic!Cassandra always says that she wants to be a rockstar ninja, go figure!
Today we headed off to the beach, I love the beach. I love the water, I could sit and watch it for ages. The children love the sand, I don’t love the sand.I love this picture of Steph.
The water was very rough.
We had lunch at La Porchetta, and I saw this sign, it makes you think, even if it was said by Bruce Lee.
We also went to the Dandenong market, I hate crowds. I’m not very good at pushing past people, so I tend to just be knocked around, by everyone in different directions, I feel like a dodgem car! We had a peek through Savers the opp shop, and look what Alycia found for 5.99. This cute doll, it’s a good brand too.
Jared kept saying that it’s head is too big, and that it has encephalitis (enlargement of the head). Don’t worry newly named Esther, we love you and your big head.
Now, I am thinking that I might need to do a giveaway in the next week, afterall it is Christmas 😀

A Little Treasure
Yesterday I found this book in the op shop, what a treasure. Take a look, it cost me $1.99.inside are a number of pages with Bible Verses written on them. Have a peek.

Today we went to a friends house, they were very hospitable. We were able to feed the goats, look at the chickens, and enjoy some very tasty food.
Alycia loved the “farm”, she will have to marry a farmer, I’m sure of it.

Party Time.
Cassanndra had her little party today, we invited one family over to help her celebrate it. We started with a pinata.played pass the parcel and made a few badges (well, actually I did, the kiddies ran off to play). I was lazy and made an ice cream cake of Barbie, do you like the glasses?
When our visitors left, Camden had a good talking to, he was so revved up, and that was before the sugar hit!
Steph left for her hike this morning. My dear girl is in a tent tonight somewhere in Wilsons Prom. Her bag weighed 12kg, she is only 48 kg! I felt like tipping her over. No doubt she will be exhausted when she comes home tommorow night.Just for interest, look what I found in an opp shop. They were 50c each. I wanted the lot, but they wanted $150 for them, so that was the end of that. I bought a few, and then went back with my mum, and she bought me a few more, thanks mum.
